Young Turks, Siberia Records and Yours & Owls present NYE in Globe Lane Wollongong

It was a short lead up, but tickets for the infamous NYE party held in Globe Lane Wollongong by UK Record Label Young Turks quickly sold out - with offers upward of $500 thrown around leading up to the event for one of the most enviable NYE tickets in NSW.
Joining Sydney-based Siberia Records and local Promoters Yours & Owls, the Young Turks delivered on their promise of creating a different, but special, all DJ-line-up of unannounced local and international talent in the very intimate setting of a small-town laneway.
Headline international Jamie xx, famous for hits including 'I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)', 'Girl', and 'Loud Places (feat. Romy)', put on the the electronic performance of the region in front of almost 2,000 fans.
Further attributing to what was one of the best all-DJ events the Illawarra has ever witnessed, CMG Audio Visual delivered highly-intelligible audio and impressive low end through Australia's first and only Meyer Sound Leopard Linear Line Array and 900-LFC System.
To create a special visual experience fitting for the Globe Lane micro-festival, CMG Audio Visual installed a Barco RLM-W8 Ultra-Bright Projector and the largest selection of moving lights available in the Illawarra - including Clay Paky Mythos and Sharpy fixtures.
Event Partners Siberia Records are notably home to the Midnight Juggernauts, Kirin J Callinan, NULL and Cassius Select; while in addition to Jamie xx the Young Turks boast FKA Twigs, The xx, and many more.
In a celebration of Sydney's vibrant music scene, the Wollongong-based event is an intimate and laid back alternative to the bigger, more commercial dance festivals occurring elsewhere and is capped at 2,000 people.
