CMG joins Illawarra Weddings to present the Winter Wedding Expo in Wollongong
Many bride-to-be’s flocked to the University of Wollongong for the 2016 Illawarra Weddings Expo located in the UniHall on Sunday, 15 May. The Wedding Expo is a must do for all newly engaged couples who are seeking ideas from industry professionals, and there was no shortage of couples on the day.
Those looking to finalise their plans were treated to a massive array of wedding specialists, all under the one roof. There were locations being promoted such as various churches and chapels, reception venues, photographers and videographers, bridal wear of all kinds, florists, jewellery and makeup, cakes, entertainment, caterers and so much more. Everything you could possibly ever think of for a wedding was here, so one could imagine the excitement in the building.
CMG Audio Visual was able to work alongside Illawarra Weddings to enhance the event by supplying the Lighting and Visual requirements for the day. The need to integrate seamlessly with what was a busy and crowded event was able to be met perfectly by the highly-experienced team.
The Lighting display was certainly one to behold and caught the attention of those that entered the Expo. An array of Clay Paky Mythos’ shone directly into a disco ball hanging from the ceiling, creating a spectacular lighting effect. A heart shaped truss setup was the focal point of the day, with wedding photos custom-projected onto the large 4.5m heart.
The Illawarra region plays a fantastic host to these events considering the scenic nature of the location, making it an attractive place for wedding planners and photographers alike. The expo encourages promotion of the local area, and for those who made the trip it demonstrated the beauty of the coast.
